Consistency

It’s really scary to see people or yourself doing so well with God and drift away from God all of a sudden. I believe that one of the main issue would be the quality of our daily time spent with God.

Pastor Jeff reminded me of 2 things in particular.

One is not to be complacent. Even though you may have had a great time praying and worshipping God during service or in church events, when you go home, will you think that you’ve experienced God enough and compromise on your qt? Well, that was what I thought in the past. However, Jesus modelled for us in . Even though he performed many miracles and experienced the power of God the day before,  He still woke up very early the next day just to meet God and be in his presence.

Next is meeting God in the morning and starting your day right with him. “一年之计在于春，一日之计在于晨”. I think this chinese proverb summarizes everything. If you start your day right with God, the rest of the day would be great. Even though there will still be problems and obstacles, you would be assured that you are going through them with God. I always knew that doing qt in the morning is better but it was only till what Pastor Jeff said and the HS’s prompting that I TRULY UNDERSTOOD what it meant. It came to me like a revelation.

Ultimately, I want to thank God for making my heart so receptive to receive what He has for me 😀
