Taking Things For Granted

Was reading shirls blog yesterday before  going for x’mas service and wanted to do some reflection on wordpress but Misha came so got no time. Decided to do one short one now. (:

It’s really true that most times when we feel poor or broke, we’re comparing with people who have more than us or simply looking at what we don’t have instead of what we have. Really struck me that I have been feeling broke this few  days because of this reason. No money  or lil’ money in my wallet, I’ll feel depressed cause I would start to think “No money to eat again” etc. But, if I took  time out, look at the box which I use to keep money   just beside my  computer table,  I would actually be  able to realize that  I’m actually SO NOT BROKE AT ALL. So it’s really about looking at WHAT WE HAVE instead of  WHAT WE DON’T HAVE. Another thing is that the period of time when I went to stay with my mum, I get $10 EVERYDAY. Never felt broke at all, instead felt  really “rich”, felt that I had enough or more than enough. Came  back to reality when I came back home that I would just receive $20-$30 from my mum every Sunday when she comes and  for the rest of the week, I’m getting money only when my aunt feels like giving or when I ask. So I tend to complain and grumble over not having enough money and when I ask for more, my aunt will nag or don’t  give. This is the time when I got to learn to be satisfied with what I already have.

Not taking them for granted.

Next, I’m going to start reading this book by Max Lucado; Travelling Light.

Still have no idea what the book is about. Was suppose to receive it start of holiday but due to some  complications, Jade can only pass to me at this time. So yea, still, I’m going to read it and try my best to comprehend and finish it asap.

Hope to learn loads from this book and apply to my life! (:

GREAT DAY

Fruitful day indeed.

Things done today:

Did 20++ of x’mas packs for my aunt(only a few are for me); hurhur.

4Amath questions(some incomplete); thanks for helping me.

Lunch(fish soup; rojak); awesome!

Shepherding with Elizabeth(went to her mum’s shop at aljunied); great time of sharing and chatting. 😀

Elizabeth and Leslie walked me to aljunied mrt; thanks!

Dinner with Misha, Lay Hong and Debra(Thanks Lay Hong for the treat!); Really enjoyed fellowshipping with them. A different experience indeed. Debra and Lay Hong are both adults and so talked about different stuffs but  still got common topic, God and HKL. 😀

Helped out in P2 cg cards.(NICE! They are beautiful!); First time making cards with all those special  materials. Really cool. 🙂

Packed X’mas presents after I reached home.

Chop chop post!!! Got to go help my aunt with x’mas presents! 😀 Super cool! Haha, was done with all the shopping with my aunt then on our way to take bus when we realize the SUPER SUPER long queue. Haha. 238 always like that but we were very tired and want to go home. So, I saw Jason, said hi, walked past him and realize can “cut”. So, lol, went back to ask him and he’s okay with that! 😀 Was much relieved, both me and my aunt. Then on our way back on the bus, catch up with him a little. Interesting chat indeed! Didn’t know he takes Lit and does extremely well in it! Amazed. 😀 Haha. Nursery, Kindergarten, Primary school friends. History but still going on. 😀 Still friends. Hope to meet up with him and some others soon!! 😀 Haha. Got to go already! 😀

Overjoyed!

I’m so happy! I finally got a new bible and Regina aunt paid for me! 😀 Haha, even though I got scolded for my rashness in getting the bible, it’s WORTH IT cause I REALLY LOVE IT. It’s super nice and one reason is that it’s RED! Went for dinner-supper yesterday at 12am with aunt and ate at Quality Hotel’s restaurant. The buffet’s REALLY NICE. Haha. Enjoyed myself a lot too!

Today’s sucky for a moment but thank God I looked beyond that and got more joy as I see it in God’s perspective. 😀 Haha.

Regina’s coming with her twins! Yaye! Hope she doesn’t break her promise last min. Lol. God is so gonna move! I can see that through yesterday’s chat with her, telling me about her experience with God and that throughout her life, God had been and have been sending many people to bring her back to God. 😀
